I have a bunch of projects I’ve made over the last few months that I never got around to blogging, so I’m going to work on getting them all up soon! This one I made awhile ago, and I didn’t take in-progress photos, but I’ll walk you through it the best I can!
I’ve been subcribed to Birchbox* for over a year now, so I have a bunch of these boxes. They’re a great size, and useful for storing lots of things! I used three of them to make this drawer unit.
The outer box is made of foam core, and covered in scrapbook paper to make it pretty. I cut the front sections out of the (upside down) box lids, and hot glued them to the foam core as shelves for the drawers. I used a bit of decorative trim to cover up the edges.
The decorative knobs (make sure you get ones that have a removable screw) are hot glued to the front of the drawers. The silver one is kind of heavy and fell off after a couple of days, so I used super glue to stick it back on the dried hot glue, and that worked great!
*Birchbox is a beauty subscription service. For $10 a month, you get 5 beauty samples in a great little box. The best part is that you can review your samples for points to redeem in the Birchbox shop (which is like getting $5 back every month). If you’d like to try it out for yourself, you can subscribe here. The boxes are colorful this year instead of the kraft boxes shown here, but they’d still work for this project!
